“Lost Dreams” is a series of images based on memories of my childhood dreams.
These dreams were often associated with feelings of
being abandoned, lost, rejected, vulnerable or trapped.
They typically portrayed scenes of falling, drowning or searching for family, shelter or home.
The use of nude figures in remote locations is consistent with feelings of vulnerability and isolation.
The models are never posed.
I briefly explain the context and ask them to re-enact their own dreams while
exploring and interacting with the environment.
Whatever authenticity, universality and creativity these images depict is mostly a result of
their imagination and sincerity.
Images in this series have been altered to visually reflect my memories.
Details have been blurred and colors have been de-saturated
except for skin tones and selected bits and pieces of the environment.
