Last weekend, I had the good fortune to arrive in New York City just as their annual "Easter Parade" was commencing. This whimsical gathering of fashionistas is more promenade than parade and celebrates all things concerning hats, eggs, bunnies and flowers. I highly recommend attending (or better yet, participating in) this joyful and energizing event!
Although the Easter Parade's festive mood was in sharp contrast to the serious nature of the recent "March for Our Lives" (the subject of my last POTW), the creativity, camaraderie, optimism and humanity expressed by the participants in both events was inspiring.
Here are a few of my favorites from this year's Easter Parade:
The glow of this "Golden" mother-daughter duo certainly brightened my day!

Great hat, great glasses and best smile of the day!

Lovely and sultry!

Grand prize winner for hat and costume!

I'm pretty sure this isn't their first Easter promenade!
