I've been in Santa Fe, NM for a few weeks and taken LOTS of pictures -- some of which you'll see in the coming weeks. If you've never been here, I highly recommend a visit.
Here's a few of my favorite things:
* The city sponsors free concerts five nights a week all summer at the bandstand on the plaza. Marcia Ball and her band gave an unforgettable performance last night on a perfect summer night. If you ever get a chance to see her play, just do it.
* The Botanical Gardens, International Folk Art Museum and Georgia O'Keeffe Museum are fantastic. The IFAM has a splendid "Tramp Art" exhibition. I had never heard of "Tramp Art" but it's way cool!
* The local bus system is fantastic -- busses go everywhere, arrive on time every 30 minutes or so and a 31-day pass for seniors is $10!
* I could live on green chile cheese burgers and pale ale from local breweries! Someone ranked the burgers at the "Santa Fe Bites" as fifth best in the U.S. -- they'll get no argument from me.
Here's three new images from Santa Fe. The first is dancers at the downtown plaza and the last two are kids from the 4-H Rodeo.
